TaskDan is an AI-powered productivity app. We take your privacy seriously and are committed to being transparent about how we handle your data.

Information We Collect

We collect the following information when you use TaskDan:

Account information: Your name and email address when you sign up or sign in with Google.
Task data: The tasks, lists, and plans you create within the app.
Calendar data: If you connect Google Calendar, we read your calendar events to help schedule your tasks. We do not modify or delete your calendar events without your explicit action.
Email data: If you connect Gmail, we read email subjects and senders to identify actionable tasks. We do not read full email bodies, store your emails, or send emails on your behalf.

How We Use Your Information

To provide and improve the TaskDan service
To generate AI-powered daily plans based on your tasks and calendar
To send you password reset and notification emails
To sync your tasks and plans across devices

Google API Data

TaskDan's use of Google APIs complies with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Specifically:

We only request the minimum Google permissions necessary to provide the features you use.
We do not share your Google data with third parties except as necessary to provide the service (e.g., our AI provider for generating plans).
We do not use Google data for advertising or to train AI models.
You can disconnect your Google account at any time from Account → Integrations.

Data Storage

Your data is stored securely on Cloudflare's infrastructure. We use industry-standard encryption for data in transit and at rest. We do not sell your personal data to any third parties.

Third-Party Services

TaskDan uses the following third-party services:

Anthropic Claude: For AI-powered planning and email scanning features. Task and calendar data is sent to Claude to generate plans. See Anthropic's Privacy Policy.
Cloudflare: For hosting and database storage. See Cloudflare's Privacy Policy.
SendGrid: For sending transactional emails. See SendGrid's Privacy Policy.

Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account at any time from Account → Settings, which will permanently delete all your data within 30 days.
